Drops Fill Buckets has had two notable successes in its first year of operation. Early this year, we raised nearly $30,000 for the construction of a new wing for a small hospital in Orissa, India that was serving 100,000 patients a year on an annual budget of $40,000. The money we raised gives them more capacity, a place for the nurses to sleep, and allows visiting doctors from larger towns to live and work at the hospital with their families. Our new Minneapolis chapter hit the ground running this year, raising $5000 in just a month to send 15 underprivileged kids on a fantastic canoe trip in the boundary waters of Northern Minnesota later this summer.
